For each Écono Coop member daycare, the Calculator allows you to calculate:

Revenues

• Registration fees for childcare services – which yields the total monthly or annual rate of these revenues. Additionally, the software allows you to see if enrollments are maximized according to the ratios permitted by each province and territory.

• Government funding for childcare services (federal, provincial, and territorial) – calculated per month or per year

• Other revenues (e.g., fundraising revenues, foundation support, etc.) – calculated per month or per year.

Expenses

• Salaries - by simply inputting the job title, hourly rate, number of hours per week, and number of weeks worked in the year for professionals (educators, assistant educators, animators, and assistants) and support staff. This provides the annual payroll over a 5‑year period, the salary scale for all positions in both categories of staff, adjusted according to an inflation rate that can be modified. You can thus make salary projections for up to 5 years.

• The cost of space based on the permitted square footage, in accordance with provincial or territorial legislation. It is thus possible to quickly determine whether spaces are being maximized relative to the number of enrolled children, while taking into account the permitted ratios by age group.

• Operational costs that are sufficiently flexible to integrate all variable and fixed costs.

The Calculator then allows you to quickly and effectively develop different scenarios to better optimize the profitability of childcare centre operations.
